Cell Phones

So, we signed up for Verizon in July last year. A couple of months before Chris left, my phone quit working. They said it was water damage and there was nothing they could do. Whatever. It no longer worked. So we decided for me to use my old phone I had when we moved to Jacksonville. Then, when Chris left for Iraq, I would switch over to his phone. So last week, Chris' phone disappeared. I have no idea where it is. It had a full charge, I called it, it rang and rang, but I couldn't hear it. Then, all of a sudden, it goes straight to voicemail. What?? It had a full charge, and it shouldn't have gone dead 2 hours after taking it off the charger. So I suspended it. Then had my old phone turned on again. Then last night, I worked at the church, and was wearing my scrubs. Had my old phone in the pocket of my scrub top. I was giving the kids a bath, when, splash, the phone falls out of my pocket as I'm leaning over the tub, right into the water. It took me a minute to notice that it was my phone that made that noise, and not some random tub toy being tossed around by my crazy children. So this year I've managed to break 2 phones and lose one. Did we have insurance on any of these phones? NO. Chris doesn't believe in cell phone insurance. I've been looking at phones, and I found one I really like. I can get a new phone at the 2 year plan price, adding only one year onto our contract (cause we still have almsot a year left) and then Chris can get a new phone at the 1 year plan price. I think this is the way to go. I was looking at phones on Ebay and LejeuneYardSales, but Jessica said she read somewhere that people were having problems buying phones from used websites like that, the phones were stolen and then wouldn't work. So I'm going to talk to Chris tomorrow, hopefully, and see what he thinks.
